Play and Learn as a concept was started in the year 2013 at Singapore with a mission to develop love for books in Children.

English language is complex and “Phonics” has been proven to be very successful and the fastest way to learn how to read and write in English.

It is an excellent alternative to rote learning, which was practiced in earlier days.

What differentiates us is the unique play based curriculum which makes learning as natural as play.

Children get to articulate by playing with sounds and learn holistically

It is a place where creativity is kindled and expressions are written.

At the end of two years, what children takeaway is love for books and a passion for reading!

The Little Literates® Method
  • Little Literates® provides holistic literacy program for preschoolers which embeds phonics and all other early literacy skills.
  • At Little Literates®, kids learn to read, write and spell. They also pick up vocabulary, comprehension, and oratory skills. It is a program designed for children aged 4 to 8 years.
  • The medium of instruction is play. Children get to articulate by playing with sounds. It is a place where creativity is kindled and expressions are written.
  • Crash course available for struggling readers in primary school.
Learning Outcome
  • Towards the end of the course children read at a speed of 60-80 words per minute
  • They would be able to write 10 to 15 lines on their own on age appropriate topics
  • They would be able to Show and Tell about what they see around them
  • They can tell/create stories based on pictures or situation
  • The final outcome is love for books and a passion for writing!
Year End Special Program
  • An exclusive event will be organized which will be hosted by the kids to exhibit their oratory skills
  • An event for the kids and by the kids

Krithiga Balasubramanian is a certified Phonics Instructor, holding distinction from the college of Teachers, London.

A Gold Medalist in MBA from Pondicherry University.

Holds a Pre-Diploma in French from Alliance Francaise de Chennai, India.

Krithiga has developed a distinct style of teaching phonics to children..She has set up her own unique curriculum which helps children pick up skills much faster than traditional methods

This method is proving to be a trend as it promises 100% literacy
